Project Challenge
Existing rip rap scour protection and submarine cable crossing the channel where fender piles were proposed to be replaced. Rip Rap had to be removed with assistance of divers to avoid damaging the submarine cable powering the bridge.
Work Performed
- Perform Demolition of existing broken fender system from barge.
- Diver assist cutting piles at mudline and rock removal to clear path for new piles.
- Drive new piles and install walers
- Steel repairs on the Bascule span
- New Bridge Rails
